Taking it slow

Image
I have done #2, 33, 34, 40 and 45 (see below). I'm slowly working on the others. Just for fun mind you - there's no prize. I so wish I had taken the date stamp off of my camera before I took this photo. But I am glad I was there to experience it. Lovely spot in Mexico. I was definitely taking it slow there. Today's our anniversary. My man is taking me out to dinner to celebrate. Ooh la la.

2009

We love gingerbread men, but my family has just informed me they don't want any more till next Christmas. All the decorations are put away and now it's time for . . . Reorganization, consolidation, and spring cleaning. That certainly sounds good. But, not only does that start me thinking about changing all the accessories in our home, but painting each and every room as well. Oh my. Last year, I adopted a theme word for myself. It was Resolve - meaning a: t o deal with successfully b : to find an answer to c : to make clear or understandable . This year my word will be: Efficient : productive of desired effects ; especially : productive without waste: efficient worker. I've always liked that word. I will try my best to be that. Especially being efficient with my time - is what I want. I will strive to make my minutes count for something lasting and eternal.

Waiting . . .

Image
I was sitting in my car waiting and I took this picture. I think it's vintage architecture. Is that a term? I've also been waiting and waiting to put my new collection of aprons in my Etsy store. That's what I've been doing today, so why don't you click on over and check them out . . .

Aprons Galore

Apron of the Day

Image
I am showing my new "Poolside Party" apron. I know this season may not conjure up images of pool parties, but it's still in the 80's where I live. I will be putting this apron in my Etsy shop if you would like to purchase.

Naperon

What Is an Apron? The word apron comes from a French word, naperon , meaning a small tablecloth. . . . I didn't know that.

I've Been Tagged!

Image
I've been tagged by Tandra the Stampin' Up card-making Queen! I guess that means I am supposed to list 7 random things . . . So here goes . . . 1. I watched the Bachelorette series and cried. 2. I love See's dark chocolate walnut clusters. 3. I use a lot of hand lotion - my hands are very dry. 4. I hate it when it is windy outside. 5. I love waking up in the morning knowing I get to have coffee. 6. I love painting the walls in my home. 7. I love to pester my dog so he growls.

Apron of the Day

Inspired by my daughter who loves Paris and speaking French, this apron reminds me of colorful French art. You may shop for this and other aprons in my Etsy store. THIS APRON IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THANK YOU DALE!

Do you think Green?

Image
With all the talk of being more "green" and recycling, I came across this article about the plastics we buy. I think this is very important information. Click on this link : The Not Quite Crunchy Parent: Safety in Numbers – Which Types of Plastics To Avoid. What do you think? (Norway - To give you an idea of how high up I was, that is a cruise ship in the middle of the water.)

Happy Mother's Day!

Image
I wish all moms a very lovely day. I have so enjoyed being a mother. I took this picture of one of my poppies that I find unusual. There are green leaves or petals that open up to reveal the poppy inside. This is unlike the other poppies I have. My garden is full of life and color these days - the gifts of spring! Have a blessed day.
