Courtyard redo

Image
Before After It'll look much nicer in a few weeks when it fills in a bit. Now that the sprinkler is fixed, it should be very happy. Pretty lady. Love the hydrangea.

Camping 2010

Image
Well, she did it.   My daughter put up the tent by herself, for the first time.   Yay!   Not quite the red and white trailer I wanted,  but it was home for a few days.

I still {heart} this

Image
Apparently this is still for sale! Counting down to camping trip:  7 days Nighttime temperature in the high 30's.

Lilac Love

Image
I think this was at the Rodin Museum and Gardens in Paris, France. I love the lilacs!  What a great memory of that day at the museum and we had the best lunch in their cafe.

Mixup of Feelings

Image
I just discovered that this beauty has been sold. I really think it would look best parked at my house, but it's not meant to be. I can still look at it.  I even started decorating it in my mind yesterday.  Sigh . . .

iWant

Image
I am currently wanting this. So badly. I am going camping soon and it would be perfect. Don't you think? I die. It's on my iWant list. It's for sale - if you want to buy it for me.   Just click on the pic.

Cinco de Mayo

Image
Just yesterday a friend told me that they don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Mexico.  Interesting.         What's it all about?     Well, I do love my bearded iris, and it's such a beautiful day today.  I'll just walk through my garden and when the Hubs gets home, we'll celebrate with margaritas anyway.

May Day

Image
So, May 1st is my birthday.     My mom and sister took me, and my daughter,  on a garden tour  and a delicious Italian lunch-  and before the day was done - my hubs took me out to a delicious birthday dinner.  Yay me! It's my birthday - it's my birthday - it's my birthday.

Chill-axin'

Image
I was chill-axin' recently.   This seagull seems relaxed, but how relaxed can you be, really - on one foot.  There was another seagull which was perched nearby and he could hardly stand up!  He could not keep his balance and was slipping and bopping all around.   I think someone must have shared a little brewsky with that seagull!   Can you tell where I was?

Bagless

I hate, and I don't like to use the "h" word but I, hate bagless vacuum cleaners.  My husband is convinced this is better.  But, he never cleans them so why would he care? Who likes this idea of fooling with the cup to empty the dust and dirt which inevitably flies in your face.  There are always at least two filters to clean.  You have to manually clean the second sponge filter and let it dry before you can use it again.  Who likes to do this? What happened to the bag vacuum cleaners?  They were great.  They were cleaner.  They were easy.  There was just one bag. Bring back the bag vacuum cleaners!! Who likes to clean a bagless?

In An Effort to Be More Organized . . .

I put together a chore sheet for myself.  It's a bit daunting, but perhaps I could spread this out over two weeks.  Do you have a chore sheet? Daily Tasks Monday: change bed linens laundry vacuum upstairs/dust   Tuesday: laundry room vacuum downstairs/dust wipe down door knobs, phones, remote controls and light switches send out cards (thank yous and birthdays)   Wednesday: clean out fridge mop kitchen floor deep-clean kitchen   Thursday: clean master bedroom and all baths Friday: office sewing room organize set aside donation items

You can do anything you want.

Be inspired.
