I have finished my French Bee Posey Punch apron. I will be listing this apron in my Etsy shop. Have you heard? She's been published!

Wear Your Apron!

Image
I almost forgot - It's National Wear Your Apron Day! Quick, put one on as you prepare dinner tonight.

Do you think Green?

Image
With all the talk of being more "green" and recycling, I came across this article about the plastics we buy. I think this is very important information. Click on this link : The Not Quite Crunchy Parent: Safety in Numbers – Which Types of Plastics To Avoid. What do you think? (Norway - To give you an idea of how high up I was, that is a cruise ship in the middle of the water.)

Happy Mother's Day!

Image
I wish all moms a very lovely day. I have so enjoyed being a mother. I took this picture of one of my poppies that I find unusual. There are green leaves or petals that open up to reveal the poppy inside. This is unlike the other poppies I have. My garden is full of life and color these days - the gifts of spring! Have a blessed day.

May Flowers

Image
These lovely posies were waiting for me on my doorstep this morning. They are birthday flowers from my mom-in-law. Aren't they beautiful? I hope you have a beautiful day.

May Day!

Image
It's May Day and it's my birthday! Today is celebrated all over the world. I like the celebrations that include May poles and May baskets best. NOTE: Take a look here to see how they commemorate this day in Paris! Today I am showing my May Day apron. It looks like a citrus spritzer! Festive and light colors of pink, orange, green and cream. I will be listing this apron in my Etsy shop. (The stitching is straight on the pocket and rick rack, the fabric is just folded a bit.) Look at these beauties from my garden. I planted vintage colored iris and I just love them.

Apron of the Day

Today's apron is the " French Bee " in a pleasing terra cotta red with a white cottage rose pattern. This apron is lined with the coordinating mini print shown here as the ruffle, pocket trim and neck straps. The waist ties are also in the same mini print. There are two whimsical green buttons that pick up on the green in the print. Click on the image for a closeup. I will be listing this apron in my Etsy shop. THIS APRON IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THANK YOU ERIN!

Apron of the Day

I just wanted to give you a peek at what I've been doing. This is Lulyn's birthday apron. As she is a big fan of coffee and we always sit down for a cup when we visit, I thought it a perfect choice for her.

Apron of the Day

I'm calling this my "raspberry and lemon" apron. I will be listing this apron in my Etsy shop.

Spring Debut

Image
It's the first day of spring and a perfect time to show you the 'apron of the day'. I made this apron from 100% cotton fabric. It is fully lined and the waistband is reinforced for stability. As you can see I used three coordinating fabrics which gives this apron a fun twist. There is a scallop at the bottom of the apron which doesn't come through in this photograph. The colors in the photograph are pretty true to actual color. I will be listing this apron in my Etsy shop if you are interested.

Apron of the Day

I made this fun and fabulous apron from 100% cotton fabric with ball fringe at the bottom, a ruffle and decorative trim at the pocket to coordinate with the brown, green, red and tan colors in the print. I folded the edge of the apron in so you could see that this apron is also fully lined, so you can turn it around for a completely different and fresh look. The picture doesn't reveal this, but there is a slight scallop to the top of the waistband and to the bottom edge of the apron, as well. I will be listing this apron in my Etsy shop if you are interested. For a better look at the style of this apron, refer to the Apron of the Day, above.

My Swap

Image
I was in such a hurry to get my apron in the mail - I forgot to take a picture of it. All I have is a picture of the fabrics used. I sent my apron "swap" to Shannon of Lucky Red Hen and she was kind enough to take some pictures and post them on her blog. Please check it out here . How lucky am I, Shannon is a photographer! These pictures are much better than I could take. You should check out her web site.

Yippee!

Look at the beautiful apron I received as part of Abby's The Feathered Nest apron swap. How could someone who has never met me, pick the most beautiful fabric that is just perfect for me! I think I will photocopy this fabric and wallpaper my sewing room with it. I love pink and green and swirlies ! And it's reversible. See the blue and brown Eiffel town print on the back! To die for. Thank you to Sally at Polka Dot Market ! I LOVE IT!!

I Love Green!

. . . that's all - I just love green. Oh, and happy Leap Day!

Blessed

Two little hearts dangle from my sign. I am blessed - I was able to go to a Jeremy Camp concert last night. So much fun.

Heart Box

Image
In my more shabby chic days, I bought this box to hold my bookmarkers. It rests on my first quilt. I'm not a quilter, but I'd like to be one day.

Triple Hearts

Keeping up with my challenge . Here is today's find.

Pastel Heart

Today's heart. I received this beautiful embroidered heart for my birthday. My uploaded pictures have been so poor. I finally pulled out my new camera and this one is much better.
