Blessed

Two little hearts dangle from my sign. I am blessed - I was able to go to a Jeremy Camp concert last night. So much fun.

Heart Box

Image
In my more shabby chic days, I bought this box to hold my bookmarkers. It rests on my first quilt. I'm not a quilter, but I'd like to be one day.

Triple Hearts

Keeping up with my challenge . Here is today's find.

Pastel Heart

Image
Today's heart. I received this beautiful embroidered heart for my birthday. My uploaded pictures have been so poor. I finally pulled out my new camera and this one is much better.

Basket of Love

Image
Today's heart is a twig basket. Did you v o t e today? It's your chance to make a difference.

Heart A Fire

Found: Red Heart Glass Votive Holder. In an effort to find hearts in my home, this is my second one. I know I have more . . .

It's Heart Month

Image
I Love Hearts! I wonder how many I actually have. I'll see if I can find a different one for each day to show you. Today, I'm showing my keychain with two hearts. How many hearts can you find in your home?

Seeing Through the Trees

Image
I'm making some headway, beginning to "see through the trees" or see through to all I resolve to do around here. (Picture taken at Disneyland.) My resolution to organize the kitchen is finished and the organization of my office is coming together. I do have some WIP's that I could share. I've been making wheelchair totes. I use colorful, sturdy, washable fabric for the exterior and coordinated cotton prints for the inside. I've added a pocket and gusset seams at the bottom (I made up that term because I didn't know what to call it) as an alteration to the original pattern given to me. I actually saw a young child with an adorable bag similar to this on her little walker. So, you could use this for a stroller or back of a car seat, as well. I'd be happy to share my pattern with you if you will email me and make a request.

Gateway

Image
I love January for the newness of it all. A new calendar. New lists. Fresh ideas about organizing. Setting goals for accomplishments. It's a gateway to the next year. It's hard to pack away all the Christmas decorations. I enjoy Christmastime. This is what I must do today - put it all away. I am sad that I broke a Christmas dinner plate. January 7 ~ It's back to school and tackling new projects. Blessings to you in 2008.

Checking it Twice

Image
Lists . . . things we need to do yet. It's two days till Christmas! You should stop by and see Willzmom at Lots of Little Things . She has such an inspirational thought for today. I wanted to share it with anyone who stops in to see me.

It Looks a Lot Like Christmas

Image
This is the tree that twinkles . . . Do you see my little guy peeking around the corner? He is never far from my feet. This is the tree that shines. The angel on top holds a banner that reads "Hope". The reason for the season brings us Hope.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Image
K made the snowman mitten ornament. She also made the Noel stuffed heart and the "Hot Cocoa" ornament that you may not be able to see at the bottom. Someone made the pine needle basket for me - a long time ago. Those are last year's tickets from the local theatre where M performed in the play "Christmas With Scrooge". The sign "Baby it's Cold Outside" - one of my favorite Christmas songs.

The Nutcrackers are waiting . . .

Image
for Christmas! I've been decorating and decorating. I think I'm done. I can't believe it's 8 days till Christmas. We made our third double batch of Gingerbread men today. We love 'em.

The Snowmen Have Arrived!

Image
It's cloudy, a little chilly and the Snows are here with the others. We are so excited.

The Stockings Were Hung

Image
. . . by the chimney with care. We love Christmas and all the trimmings. We're dreaming of a white one, but not holding our breath.

What do you want for Christmas?

I only want a hippopotamus for Christmas. Check out this UTube moment. I used to play this 45 RPM single when I was a kid.

Where are you going?

Image
Where are you going for Thanksgiving? Maybe you are not going anywhere - what plans do you have to share? We are going to Florida to visit with family. My mother-in law happens to live at the beach. No, I will not be fixing a turkey - I like to cook, but turkeys aren't so easy. This picture was taken at the Sherman Gardens and Library where I had lunch with my mom. We also browsed the holiday boutique they hosted. I bought some French glitter postcards to put in my Christmas tree. There's that Eiffel Tower that I love so much.
